"This is a long overdue review of a major kitchen remodeling project Rite-Way did at our home in October 2022- March 2023. We found Rite-Way to be outstanding and could not be more pleased with their quality of work. With the work having been completed over two years ago, we have lived in our new space and are very impressed with the ongoing quality of their work and the craftsmanship of their cabinets. Marv and Walt worked with us and addressed all of our questions and concerns. Remodeling is never problem-free and unanticipated issues always arise. Marv and Walt were very open and understanding as issues arose. Our village building inspectors were also aware of Rite-Way and once they discovered Rite-Way was our general contractor, the inspections went very smoothly. We had only one issue arise during our warrantee period and Walt followed through on a timely and professional basis and resolved it quickly and professionally with the subcontractor. "Rite Way created a beautiful and custom full bathroom on the first floor of our 100 year old home. The restroom was created from a useless small room in the rear of the house and is now one of the most beautiful rooms in the house. We were able to make every decision on finishes from start to finish and were extremely pleased with the end result. The work started at the height of the hottest summer on record and finished days before we returned home from the hospital with our first child. Everything was clean during the construction and the contractors were a joy to have in our home. There is not a single visitor that comes to our home that isn't overly impressed with the way the room turned out and we have not had a single issue with the workmanship or quality of the room. We will continue to use Rite-Way for any renovation project in home, big or small, and cannot recommend them enough!"
"My husband and I have lived in our original ranch style house in Glen Ellyn for the past 61 years. Recently we thought of relocating to a senior apartment facility, but really did not want to move from our home. So, instead we contacted Rite-Way builders and discussed the options of what could be done to “old age proof” our home. The end result was to have them convert one of our bathrooms into a walk-in shower and install a stackable washer and dryer in the closet in our smallest bedroom to eliminate the need to go down the steep stairs to the basement laundry area. In addition, we had walls and woodwork painted in three bedrooms, bathroom, hall and living room, plus other small “jobs” I wanted done. We have been so totally happy with the results. Rite-Way owners are so knowledgeable, offered so many suggestions and were so great to deal with. The work was done in a very timely fashion and was done with the least amount of disruption as possible. Each day tarps were laid down to protect floors and furniture where necessary and removed at the end of the day. All debris was removed from the site each day. Their attention to detail was fantastic. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality work done. In addition to the owners expertise I have to compliment two of their workers who were at our house daily, Miguel and Connor. Their friendliness, expertise and general construction knowledge is to be commended. Thank you Rite-Way for a great job."

"We were looking for a very particular custom home, one where we could age in place but wasn't obviously ADA compliant. Marv and Walt spent about 12 hours over 4 sessions listening to our design ideas and looking at concept photos. They chose an architect (Nick) who nailed our design concept and who took the extra time to tour the neighborhood to make sure the house "fit". Walt and Marv were true partners throughout the project and were also willing to work with outside artists. Terri was quick to respond to all of our questions. Rite-Way's craftsmanship and quality is outstanding. As a result, we have a house that will let us live here for many years to come and is stunningly beautiful."

"We were looking for a home in Glen Ellyn because we love the walkability of the community. Also, we were relocating from Chicago’s northern suburbs where we had a lovely and stylish ten year old home with a luxury feel and all the upgrades. Being empty nesters, we were looking to get a home that was right sized for us as well. After a few months of looking at homes that did not quite fit the bill, we began to research home builders in the area and were considering buying a home and going through a tear down or significant renovation. We met with several builders, and found that the following things above all else: 1.Experience in construction/renovation of existing homes in Glen Ellyn. 2.Personal service to help explain options and to identify pitfalls (I have a construction background but my wife does not and we were considering a major renovation). 3.Quality in workmanship and design 4.A firm that would be mindful of our budget and schedule. Rite-Way looked as if they checked all of the boxes and I am happy to say that our experience and results exceeded our expectations. We identified a 1930’s era home that had been remodeled over the years and had great curb appeal and a terrific location. We had a renovation budget in mind and had some ambitious ideas for the home. Marv and Walt were instantly enthusiastic about our project and helped us refine our budget so that we could do the renovations we initially thought about within our budget, but also established a contingency budget for items that inevitably pop up (most of which were driven by changes we suggested as opposed to the usual renovation contingencies). They had financing alternatives and contacts for us to take advantage of, and also a great network of subcontractors and suppliers that led us to make great decisions in cabinet and counter designs, fireplace renovations, floor finishes and roofing and gutters. As in every major renovation, there were issues where we struggled with a decision of what to do. Marv and Walt were practical in their approach to our budget and innovative in their approach to our work. Terri handled the financial piece of the renovation very professionally and used a title company for the monthly draws to protect everyone involved. Terri also educated us quickly on everything that Glen Ellyn has to offer residents, she was a real ambassador of goodwill. Our renovation turned out wonderfully, and we highly recommend Rite-Way for a renovation project like ours. The greatest thing about our choice to use Rite-Way was the quality we received, the attention to detail and to our budget, and the relationships that we started that I am sure will go on for years to come.
